Pick fair, random winners from a list of entries.
About This Tool
This tool picks random winners from a list of entries. Use it for giveaways, contests, raffles and classroom draws.
- Add names, emails or phone numbers, one per line.
- Choose how to treat duplicate entries.
- Pick 1 to 100 winners at once.
- Download the result as TXT or CSV.
How to Use This Tool
- Paste your entries, one per line.
- Check the counts under the box: Total, Valid and Unique.
- Choose how to treat duplicates, then set Max wins and Winners.
- Press Pick Winners.
- Reveal the winners one at a time or all at once, then download them.
Understanding the Entry Counts
- Total is the number of lines with text.
- Valid is the lines the tool can use. A line made only of symbols is not valid.
- Unique is the number of different entries. Extra spaces and capital letters are ignored, so Zia, zia and ZIA count as one.
You need at least 2 unique entries to draw.
Options Explained
- Blur entries hides your list on screen while you draw. It is handy for live draws. The tool remembers it until you close the tab.
- Duplicates sets how repeated entries are treated. See the three modes below.
- Max wins is how many times one entry can win, from 1 to 100. The default is 1, so nobody wins twice.
- Winners is how many winners to pick, from 1 to 100. The tool shows the most it can pick for your settings.
The Three Duplicate Modes
Say your list has Zia, zia and ZIA.
- Remove keeps just one of them. Each person has one entry and an equal chance. Use it for most giveaways.
- Group keeps all three, which raises that person's chances. They still count as one person, so they can win only as often as Max wins allows.
- Count all keeps all three as separate tickets. Each can win on its own, so this person could win up to three times.
Reading the Results
- Rank shows the order the winners were drawn. Press the Rank button to flip the order.
- Blur winners hides the names. Press Show on a row to reveal one winner, or untick the box to reveal all.
- Show processed entries shows each entry in its cleaned-up form, without extra spaces or capital letters.
- Each winner shows the line number from your list.
- Download TXT and Download CSV save the result.
Tips for a Fair Draw
- Share the rules first: how to enter, the deadline and how many winners.
- Use Remove unless extra entries are a bonus you announced.
- Blur the list if it holds personal details, especially on a live stream.
- Keep the downloaded file as a record of the draw.
Privacy: How This Tool Works
- Your browser does all the work. Your list is never uploaded.
- Nothing is stored or shared. The only thing remembered is your Blur entries choice, and only until you close the tab.
- The list and the result are gone when you close the tab.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the draw fair?
Yes. Winners are chosen with your browser's cryptographically secure random number generator, not Math.random(). The result cannot be predicted or steered, and every entry has the same chance.
What is the difference between the three duplicate modes?
"Remove" keeps one entry per person, so everyone has an equal chance. "Group" keeps every entry to raise that person's chances, but they can still win only as often as Max wins allows. "Count all" treats each line as its own ticket.
What does Max wins do?
It limits how many times one entry can win. At 1, nobody wins twice. Raise it to let the same entry win more than once. The tool shows the most winners you can pick for your settings.
Can I use this for a live draw?
Yes. You can blur the entry list while you draw, and winners appear blurred so you can reveal them one at a time or all at once.
What can I put in the list?
Names, email addresses or phone numbers, one per line. Extra spaces are ignored, and capital letters do not matter when checking for duplicates. Lines made only of symbols are marked invalid. You need at least 2 unique entries.
Can I save the winners?
Yes. Download the result as a TXT or CSV file. In the CSV, an entry that starts with =, +, - or @ gets an apostrophe in front, so a spreadsheet will not run it as a formula.
Is my entry list uploaded?
No. The list and the result stay in your browser and are gone when you close the tab. The only thing remembered is your Blur entries choice, and only until you close the tab.
