Privacy Policy
Effective Date: | Last Updated:
Hi, I'm Ziaur Rahman. I run Blogger Zia (bloggerzia.com). This page explains what data this site collects, why, and how you can control it.
This site does not have visitor accounts. There is no sign-up, no password, and no comment section. Most of what this page covers is about the community emails, cookies, and a few outside tools used to run and improve the site.
By using bloggerzia.com, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
1. What Data This Site Collects
This site collects data in two ways: what you give directly, and what is collected automatically.
Data you give directly
- Email address – only if you join the community. You can do this by typing your email and clicking a confirmation link, or by signing in with Google.
- Google sign-in email – if you use "Continue with Google" to join the community, Google shares only your email address with this site. No password, name, or profile photo is collected this way.
Data collected automatically
- Basic technical data – your IP address, browser type, and device type. This is collected by the hosting and security service (Cloudflare) that this site runs on.
- Usage data – which pages you visit, and general traffic patterns. This comes from analytics tools such as Google Analytics.
- Cookie data – small files placed by third-party tools described in Section 4 below.
This site does not run a comment system, and there is no visitor sign-up or password anywhere on the site.
2. Why This Data Is Used
- To run, secure, and improve this website.
- To understand which content is useful to readers.
- To show ads that may match your interests.
- To send community emails, only to people who subscribed.
- To keep the site safe from spam and abuse.
- To track affiliate purchases and commissions, where affiliate links are used.
3. Community and Email List
If you join the community, here is exactly what happens:
- If you type your email and submit the form, this site sends a confirmation email first. Your address is only added to the mailing list after you click that link.
- If you sign up using Google instead, Google's own sign-in already confirms your email, so no extra confirmation email is sent.
- Once confirmed, your email is stored on this site and also handed to Acumbamail, the email service provider used to send the community's emails. Acumbamail then sends future emails and handles unsubscribe requests.
- You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any community email, or by contacting me directly (see Section 12).
- This site never sends bulk marketing email on its own. Only Acumbamail sends the community emails themselves.
4. Cookies and Tracking Tools
Cookies are small files saved in your browser. This site does not set its own tracking cookies directly. Cookies come from third-party tools, run through a tag manager (Cloudflare Zaraz), which also shows the cookie banner described below.
Cookie Consent Banner
When you first visit this site, a cookie banner lets you choose which types of cookies to allow:
- Necessary – always on. Needed for the site to work and stay secure. There is no choice to turn these off.
- Analytics – used by tools like Google Analytics, to see how visitors use the site.
- Advertising – used by tools like Google Ads Conversion Tracking and Meta Pixel, to measure and show relevant ads.
Analytics and advertising tools only run after you allow that category in the banner. You can change your choice at any time using the cookie settings option, usually shown as a link at the bottom of the page.
Tools That May Use Cookies
- Google Analytics – measures how visitors use the site, so I can improve it. You can also opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
- Google Ads Conversion Tracking – measures whether an ad led to a visit or action on this site. You can also manage this through Google Ad Settings.
- Meta Pixel (Facebook) – helps measure and show relevant ads to people on Facebook and Instagram. You can also manage this through Facebook Ad Preferences.
- Other advertising or measurement tools – this site may use similar tools from time to time, for the same purpose: understanding traffic and measuring ads. Any new tool of this kind is added to the cookie banner's Analytics or Advertising category, whichever fits.
These tools set their own cookies and follow their own privacy policies. I recommend reading those as well, using the links above.
You can also block or delete cookies at any time from your browser settings, on top of your choice in the cookie banner. Blocking cookies may make some parts of the site, or ad personalization, work less well – but the site itself will still work.
5. Affiliate Links
Some links on this site are affiliate links, and some links are tracked outbound links (URLs starting with /go/).
- If you click an affiliate link and buy something, I may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.
- A tracked link (
/go/) briefly passes through this site so the click can be counted, then sends you straight to the destination site. - Affiliate networks use their own cookies to track purchases. This is how commissions are calculated.
- Once you leave this site through any link, the destination site's own privacy policy applies, not this one.
6. Who This Data Is Shared With
Your data is never sold. It may be shared only with:
- Acumbamail – the email service provider, but only for confirmed community addresses.
- Google – if you use Google sign-in for the community, or interact with Google Analytics or Google Ads.
- Meta (Facebook) – through the Meta Pixel, for ad measurement.
- Cloudflare – the hosting and security service that all site traffic passes through.
- My email provider – if you contact me directly by email.
- Anyone else, only if the law or a court requires it, or to protect my rights or safety.
7. Your Rights
Depending on where you live (for example under EU/GDPR or California/CCPA rules), you can ask to:
- Access – get a copy of the data held about you.
- Correct – fix wrong information.
- Delete – remove your data, such as your community email address.
- Opt out – stop tracking, or unsubscribe from the community.
- Withdraw consent – for anything you previously agreed to.
To make a request, contact me at the email address on the contact page. I may need to confirm it is really you before acting on the request. I will reply within 30 days.
8. How This Data Is Protected
- The site uses secure hosting, HTTPS encryption, and standard security practices.
- Community sign-in links and admin sign-in links are single-use and expire automatically.
- No online system is completely safe, but reasonable care is taken to protect your data.
9. How Long Data Is Kept
- A community email address is kept until you unsubscribe, or until you ask for it to be deleted.
- Technical logs and analytics data are kept only as long as needed, following each tool's own retention settings (for example, Google Analytics' own data retention rules).
10. International Visitors
This site may be hosted, and its service providers may operate, outside your own country. By using this site, your data may be processed in a different country than where you live.
11. Children's Privacy
This site is not directed at children under 18. I do not knowingly collect data from anyone under that age. If you believe a child has shared personal data with this site, please contact me so it can be removed.
12. Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated at any time, for example when a new tool or feature is added. The "Last Updated" date at the top will change whenever that happens. Please check this page from time to time.
13. Contact
