Overview
Cox's Bazar is Bangladesh's best-known seaside town. Its beach runs for about 120 km and is usually described as one of the longest unbroken natural sea beaches in the world.
Laboni Beach is the town's main stretch, busy with visitors through the cool, dry months. Fishing boats, drying racks of fish and sunsets over the water are part of daily life along the shore.
